These commentaries were suggested for use in my Introduction to Exegetical Studies class. I liked the Luke-Acts so well I was able to purchase the rest of the New Testament. I am looking forward to purchasing the Old Testament set, too. I found the content to be readable for a student, layperson, or clergy. Theology seems to be conservative. Content is not wordy, but gets right to the point. The books themselves are well-made with paper thick enough to hold pencil or ballpoint pen ink. I did not try highlighting or using fountain pen ink. I thought they were a great buy and they serve my purposes well.
